Training & Staff Development
The core belief of GMCS is that to provide the highest level of security services available we must invest in making our employees the highest trained security professionals possible. Training and professional development, handled by our skilled in-house licensing and training departments allows us to give staff the tools they need to succeed and create a large team of highly qualified licensed security professionals.
Recruiting and Licensing
GMCS spends considerable resources on recruiting personnel with the background, experience, and disposition that will add value to our staff teams. We utilize a web-based applicant tracking system which allows us to pre-screen applicants for qualifications and merit.
Each potential recruit will go through a demanding interview process prior to employment. Upon passing the GMCS pre-employment phase, the new hire will be processed into our system and enter our training program, thus beginning their initial trial phase of employment with GMCS. Their advancement and compensation from there will depend largely on their personal ambition.
Our professional development program is designed to motivate our personnel to better themselves as security officers and reward them for their progress. GMCS believes that professional development through training, ongoing coaching, and supervision creates a loyal, qualified, and experienced workforce.
Professional Development
GMCS leverages our wholly-owned subsidiary, the Northeast Safety and Security Training Academy (NESSTA), to provide licensing training and professional development opportunities to our staff. Through NESSTA, GMCS can ensure its officers and supervisors receive the latest industry-leading safety and security education and training making our officers the best-trained security officers available. Some of the courses and certifications offered to GMCS staff include:
Supervisor and Event Security Manager Training
A core part of GMCS’s approach to ensuring quality security service relies on direct supervision. Direct supervision and on-site event management serve three functions; immediate quality control, on-the-job coaching and development, and clear chain of command and communication on-site.
Our supervisor and event security manager training program is the next step in staff development for individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to GMCS operations and company values. This training program includes advanced security management techniques, including staff management and clerical training.
The result of this training process is individuals who can lead security teams independently, manage large event operations, and coach staff development on-site.
